what colors are considered neutral, black or white?


A few of us here at MOCA have created many kinds of color-based schemes to help you find matching colors on the internet. As I said earlier, I'm not a color expert and this doesn't help you find colors. But you CAN find colors with them and you can find colors that blend well with other colors.


I decided to break it down into a series of images that should give you an idea. Each one is an actual color.

For example, we have a black and white group with a dark blue background. This group color is actually different than the other colors, because each color has a "blue" background but only some of the colors that are on the white background have blue colors. This is why the rest of the color looks color-alike.

The Colors of Color

For some color ideas, it's best to use as your baseline the blue background and other colors that you can easily find on the internet.

For example, to get a basic list of neutral colors, we can use this idea. If you're not into that kind of thing, this post could be helpful but it's also pretty fun for me right now.
