The neutral colors are shades of gray (grey, yellow, magenta, blue) and white (copper, sandstone blue, bronze)
Color combination:
Yellow - brown
Red - red (fuchsia)
Green - green (+silver)
Blue - blue (+silver)
The color combination above will also work for your main wardrobe: bright yellow, blue yellow/golden yellow, pinkish pink/brown. You could even use a different combination of colors to wear your main clothing at night.
What's the key to making your black/red combination look cooler?
There are many different styles of black/red that can work for some of the same reasons to look cooler. Black or white work perfectly for my main wardrobe and work great for any outfit without a hat (if someone is in a tie and has a hat, I will try using brown or gray for the same reason).
